The best thing is to go armed with a photo to make it easier for them to understand because most times they know how to braid exactly what you are talking about but call it something else. Thanks for stopping by don't be a stranger:)LYDZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09991770025220011882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712688791189243735.post-29777473076095532632013-06-14T02:45:55.704+01:002013-06-14T02:45:55.704+01:00This totally got me in Nairobi. There are so many names and I think it will only continue as the styles evolve. I normally braid in Nairobi so I will be all ready with "Rasta" next time. This is a very insightful post.<br />PS: I think they call them rastas because from a far they look like one has dreadlocks?Duchess Gabriellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07076758255162987201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-712688791189243735.post-31471799892659577402013-02-21T15:07:24.232+00:002013-02-21T15:07:24.232+00:00I had a similar experience once too in Sierra Leon...I had a similar experience once too in Sierra Leone but thankfully the stylist understood me in the end and I got the style I wanted. I must say I was quite disappointed when it turned out to be "Secrets" when she started...lol...... but after the long time she took explaining the styles to me cos i couldn't understand the names and descriptions, i found it hard to let her change the style....lol. i guess it is quite a popular term around the world after all. This is a great post dear. Need to add those names to my dictionary of words and can you check what style is referred to as "Bob Marley" in Nigeria?
