Kitchen Korner: Sweet French Toast

I had never eaten sweet French toast before. Growing up we always had the savoury type and that is what I have always made since I am used to it. So the other day YouTube suggested a sweet French toast for me while I was busy watching a non food related movie (their suggestions pop up in the weirdest of places).  I figured why not try out sweet French toast so I made some the next day and based on the results I will be making them more often:)
Ingredients - Serves one
2 slices of bread
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon sugar (heaped)
Pinch of cardamom powder
Pinch of cinnamon powder
A little bit of butter or margarine just enough to cook the two slices of bread
Directions
Whisk the egg and milk together.
Add all the other dry ingredients and whisk until well combined
Butter a griddle, frying pan or skillet whatever it is you use or call it
Soak the slices of bread one at a time in the egg mixture make sure both sides are well covered in the mixture
Lift them out of the egg mixture and place them on the frying pan and let one side cook first then flip over and cook the other side adding butter as needed. Once both sides are cooked drain on a paper towel and serve. You can serve it plain or drizzled with honey or syrup and any toppings you may like.
And here are the results:
Yummy sweet french toast.

Kitchen Korner is a series on the blog that showcases food prepared using ingredients that can also be used on the hair as well; double food hair products I like to call them. Today’s major double food hair ingredient was eggs.
