How is everyone doing? I hope the year started off to a great start for everyone reading this and life has been good to you all. For every trial and tribulations, I pray for strength to overcome them and the grace to handle them. For every success and celebrations, I thank the heavens and dance in joyful praise with you.

 

Speaking of trials and tribulations earlier in the year someone gave me food, watched me chew it and then took it out of my mouth before I could swallow it. Only for someone else to give me not only a three-course meal but an entire farm in addition not too long after, that ensured that I would always have a plate at my table thanks to the harvest from the farm. So, you see folks don’t fret when a half-eaten banana is taken away from you, because there is a whole bunch of bananas and an entire banana plantation waiting for you in the horizon. Keep the faith, hold on better days are coming.

I am currently loving these Lattafa perfumes first got into them last year and I love how they now have mellowed down scents not too overwhelming but smell gorgeous! I am glad they are opening up to the rest of the world which means a diversity in scents to cater for a global customer base. This is my new year purchase it has coconut and vanilla notes which is what sold me. Dries down to a sweet powdery coconut laced vanilla scent.

Necessary November – Restock

November was a mixed bags of sorts with some necessary beginnings, some necessary pauses, and some necessary breaks, mostly for self-reflection and some for lessons to be learnt but all in all we thank the heavens for the month just ending.

 

In all this a lot of great shopping happened in November I have been needing to restock my wardrobe for a while and I was finally able to do so guilt free. I can’t believe I was once a person who bought clothes just in case, you know just in case I ever needed it and ended up with so many unworn pieces some I kept for years and ended up giving away. Money that I could have used towards something that I actually needed.  Now I am a more conscious shopper and only purchase what I need at the time or what I need to restock on.

 

As we usher in the festive season, I hope it’s going to be a great one for everyone may it be filled with warmth, love, laughter and most importantly contentment. Here’s to a delightful December for all of us!

Owning October – Gains

A lot of gains were made this month including reunifications. Lots of love good cheer, new connections got stronger, some were shaken, took breaks from some but all in all a gainful month. I am thankful for it.

Staring Back at September – Serendipity

My birthday month! What an absolutely blessed month full of favour, good fortune and God’s goodness. My ancestors really showed up and showed out for me this month. Providence upon providence, abundance in the midst of lack. I am truly grateful!

Revelations were made from the unlikeliest of sources, good revelations that made the month even more blissful! New connections I made proved fulfilling some challenging but for the most part fulfilling. Here’s to a beautiful month of October!

Looking Back at August – Blessed

 

What a blessed blessed month it was! I am grateful my heart is full. God is in the neighbourhood a friend finally got something she has been desiring for a long long time. I am so so happy for her. Here’s to more wins!

 

Made new connections that turned out to be blessings in disguise. God showed up in a ways I cannot even begin to describe. One thing I know for sure Gods got me he’s always done and will always do no matter the circumstances. I may not be where I desire to be but I am not where I once was and for that I am deeply and truly blessed and grateful.

Looking Back at July – Destiny Helpers

 

Do you believe in destiny helpers? A destiny helper can be anyone absolutely anyone, they find you, you don’t find them and most importantly they don’t require anything from you in return to help fulfil your destiny.

 

True story as told to me. A job seeker is looking for work in a certain vicinity, they get turned away in two places. The job seeker gets to the third place and finds it locked up with no one at the entrance to assist. The job seeker starts walking away and at that exact moment a groundskeeper turns up and asks if he can be of help. The job seeker explains their mission, the groundskeeper says this place is not hiring to his knowledge and then directs the job seeker to a different place in the same vicinity that is currently hiring and even gives a contact name. The groundskeeper knows this because he also keeps the grounds at this other place and is familiar with the higher ups over there. The job seeker goes there asks for this contact, the contact takes a liking to them asks them to come back for a formal interview and they get hired on the spot. The groundskeeper in this story is the destiny helper. One may argue that this was a case of right place right time, but remember the groundskeeper was under no obligation to ask if the job seeker needed help he could have just gone about his business, he was under no obligation to give out the information which led to the job seeker getting hired but he did, nevertheless. Remember when I said they don’t require anything from you in return? This groundskeeper did not ask for anything he just gave out what he thought was information that would be helpful to this person.

 

Destiny helpers find you; you do not go looking for them, they find you. That subscriber that left a comment on your video, a comment that led to you being discovered by a brand manager leading to a huge brand deal? That is a destiny helper. You have a struggling small business someone strikes up a conversation with you at the store while waiting in line, that conversation ends up with them connecting you to someone they know who needs your services, and this person’s order boosts your sales significantly. That is a destiny helper.

 

Destiny helpers can come in the unlikeliest of formats even in situations we consider hurtful or negative at the time, that situation that you later refer to as a blessing in disguise. Had that person not kicked you out of their house, you may never have experienced the ripple effect that ensured you became a homeowner. Terrible as that situation may have been that person helped fulfil your destiny to be a homeowner. That negative comment that went viral and in turn got you recognised, and positively influenced your content creation journey from the support that came out of it, yes that too. We don’t always have to experience terrible situations to fulfil our destiny but sometimes depending on the type of person one is, that terrible situation may be the catalyst that moves them forward. Some people need a push to get them to the next level this push may sometimes come from negative situations.

 

So when you pray today don’t forget to pray for your destiny helpers, pray for them to locate you and may you also be a helper in someone else’s destiny. My July was a destiny filled month I hope yours was too here’s to a wonderful month of August.

November Is For Moving Forward…

 

Sometimes one needs to be dissatisfied enough in order to change.  I heard this said on a podcast this afternoon and I have never resonated with something so much. You see I am naturally a person who needs a push to move, I know I need to move but unless I am pushed, I am unlikely to move. More often than not this push comes with uncomfortable situations that leave me no choice other than to move. This happened to me mid-October an extremely extremely uncomfortable situation coupled with betrayal, that finally set the wheels in motion for something that I have been wanting to do for almost a year now, maybe more. In a way I am grateful that this situation uncomfortable as it was, happened. It was exactly what I needed to move forward…and move forward I have.

 

October also showed me more than once that sometimes God gives us what we need and not necessarily what we want, and usually what we need is better than what we thought we wanted.

October!!! And Some Avocado Oil…

 

October is here in all it’s splendour! First things first thank you to everyone who gifted me on my birthday in September. My PayPal notifications were amazing no matter how big or small I appreciate each and every one of your gifts. You don’t know how much your gifts meant to me you made my birthday worthwhile thank you so much everyone! Here’s hoping you have a wonderful month of October and as you have gifted me may others gift you as well. I love you all!

 

In other news I made some Avocado oil! I know! Hahaha it was more out of need than anything else since I couldn’t find my brand of avocado oil that I use for skincare and haircare close to my house, so I just decided to make some with help from a YouTube video. I come from one of the world’s top avocado exporting countries, my maternal grandparents have an avocado tree right outside their front door not to mention the ones doted all over their homestead and farm, they would be proud of me right now if they were here!

 

 I got 30ml from one and a half large avocadoes
