I am a seasoned protective styler was just
never good at length retention before, so this challenge has been a breeze so far. In
case you are wondering the 1st check in took place via a comment on
Ebony’s blog. I had Tree braids installed for the first month of the challenge
took those down at the end of January, the 31st to be exact. I wore
different variations of rope braids for the entire month of February into a few
days of March to give my hairline a break, I would keep them in for up to a
week do the appropriate wash routine for that week and rebraid for another
week. I sometimes wore my hair in a braidout on taking down my rope braids for
a few hours before rebraiding never more than eight though; the hair was pinned
up as soon as I got home and I still have four hair down days left using the
hourly calculations. Also used these wash days to test out new products. I
currently have single braids installed which I plan to keep until the challenge
is over.

Your singles look great! I love that you calculated the hourly "down" days left, I felt the same way when I wore my hair down for church. I was like TECHNICALLY it wasn't a full day! lol! Thanks for checking in!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ebony! I had to calculate hourly lol otherwise I would have no more hair down days left...
DeleteLove your braids!
ReplyDeleteI love braids ! Did you braid them or did you go to a professional?
ReplyDeleteI wish i could braid my own hair then i would only rock box braids 24/7.
But since my mother who always have braiding my hair since i grew my first hair strands lives to far away i only get them before the winter months once a year.
I had them done by a professional. I have tried braiding with extensions before but mine always end up loose but I am on a mission to perfect the art so hopefully I should be able to do it myself in the near future. Funny enough if one falls off I am able to fix it back myself and it looks alright so I guess I am on the right track.
